Industries across Canada continue to experience the challenges brought on by our ever changing economic environment. Our declining available workforce and the changing attitudes in a new generation of worker continues to create significant challenges for employers. While maximizing the number of skilled workers is important, it is equally critical that we maximize the effectiveness of those skills by developing a motivated and productive workforce.

Developed by industry, Service!Plus is a pre-employment job skills training program delivered by industry trained instructors directly in the classroom during school hours as part of the regular curriculum. Students learn about performance expectations of the workplace, the importance of developing a professional and positive attitude, as well as other job skills required to be successful in today’s world of work. Additionally, we introduce exciting career opportunities of our Industry Partners directly to the classroom, giving students the opportunity to explore career options within those industry sectors.

To earn ‘S!P Certification’ students participate in a 16-hour instructor led course that includes writing a series of exams, demonstration of their skills and understanding of what is required to deliver exceptional service, as well as other key job requirements — If they don’t pass, they don’t earn S!P Certification — This process ensures our Industry Partners can be confident in the skill and professionalism of all Service!Plus Graduates.
